The Story

Built from conviction,
not comfort.

I left Mexico in 2001 with a one-way decision — sold what I had, moved to Cambridge with limited English, and completed a Master of Engineering at MIT while 9/11 reshaped the world around me. I didn't know if I'd find a job. What I had was conviction: that growth requires discomfort, that long-term thinking matters, and that leadership begins long before you lead others.

That conviction carried me through 25 years of building and leading large-scale operations across beverage, grocery, and food distribution — from distribution centers in Texas and Mexico to a national network of 52 facilities delivering over 320 million cases annually. I became a U.S. citizen in 2015. I published my first book in 2026.

The work has always been the same: build disciplined systems, develop people who outlast you, and know when to maintain what works — and when to transform what doesn't.

The Book

Maintain or Transform

How to Lead with Standards, Build Strong Teams, and Execute Through Change

This book is not a memoir. It is a decision lens. At every inflection point, leaders face the same choice: maintain what exists, or transform what is possible. Most default to one or the other. The best leaders know when to do which — and why it matters.

Drawing from 25 years of leading at scale, Maintain or Transform delivers a practical framework for the decisions that define leadership — not in theory, but in the moments when the pressure is real, the stakes are high, and the answer is rarely obvious.
